Remove SNS Nails – How to Remove Dip Powder Nails?
SNS nails, which are also known as Signature Nail System nails, are nail enhancement products, which you can get to improve the looks of your nails. They are quite popular because of their compatibility with different types of nails and their durability.
As with all nails, there comes a point where the nails have to be removed, when they are no longer looking their best. You can easily remove SNS nails using the following method…
Using Acetone to Remove SNS Nails
One of the best methods available out there for you to remove SNS nails is to use acetone. Acetone will be able to help you with removing the top sealer, as well as the dip nails effectively. You can either soak your nails in acetone, or make them come into contact with liquid acetone for a duration of around 15 to 20 minutes. This will help loosen the dip powder to allow easy removal.
Removing Dip Powder Nails That Have Tips
If you have added tips on top of your dip powder nails, you will need to use a nail clipper and cut off the additional length.
If you don’t have any colour polish on top of the nails, you will be able to file off the dip manually, along with the topcoat sealer. As you file off the topcoat, you will be able to get the dip nails to dissolve quickly as well. On the other hand, people who have regular nail polish on dip nails should think about removing the nail polish first. Then you can proceed with removing the dip nails. Otherwise, nail polish can soak in the acetone and stain the skin. If the polish has a black, red, or blue colour, you should be extra careful.
Some women have gel polish on their dip nails. If this is the case with your nails, you will need to remove the gel polish before you do anything else. This will not be an easy thing to do, because gel polish is relatively more durable. If you don’t remove the gel polish, you will have to dip your nails in acetone for an extended period of time.
You can thin off the top coating of the gel finish with the help of a coarse file. You should do this on all your nails. Then you should soak the nails in acetone for a period of around 5 to 10 minutes. After that, you should take out the nails and try to remove softened gel polish from the nails as much as possible. You should do that by filing or peeling to expose the dip powder effectively.
