How to Use Nail Dipping Powder
Nail dipping powder is a type of nail manicure that can last up to a month, which is longer than most other types of nail.
Dip powder nails can last for a very long time, depending on how well you care for your nails in the weeks following the nail dipping powder procedure.
Dip treatments are healthier for your nails compared to gel or adhesive nails, and involve less filing and equipment. Dip powder nails offer a vibrant bright colour, and are less probable to raise. People also find they are quite easy to apply compared to other types of nail.
With nail dipping powder, neither a pungent liquid dimer, nor a UV light is required.
Preparation Before Nail Dipping Powder
Before applying the nail dipping powder, begin by getting nails ready. Begin by pressing the cuticles back, and cut any dead cells that you can find on the surface of the nail. Once this is done, use a hand nail file to eliminate the sparkle from the original nail, and size it into the proper size. When doing this, pay special attention to the cuticle and the corner of the nails, so you don’t remove too much of the nail.
Step 1
Once your nails are primed, you are now ready to go. Take your bond and apply it to the whole nail. Bonding is an important step, because it dehydrates the nail and removes any oiliness which might cause lifting.
Step 2
After bonding, take your base and cover three quarters of the nail with it. When applying the base, start applying a light, even coating so that the application is soft and clean.
Step 3
Next, choose the colour of the dip powder that you would like to use. Before you think about applying your dip powder, apply a second coat of your base, applying it as close to the cuticle as possible. It is important to have your dip powder to hand, because the base that you apply dries quickly. Dip the nail into the colour powder at forty five degree angle.
Step 4
Apply a third coat of base by applying it to the whole nail. Then, you can dip each nail into your nail dipping powder once more.
Step 5
You can now move on to your transparent coating. The clear gel is critical to your dip powder application, as it protects your nails, so that they last as long as possible, and it helps when it comes to protecting your nails during filing.
Step 6
File, form, and buff your nails! Don’t fret if you’re not using a nail care drill. You can complete this process with a buffer square and a moderate hand file.
After following these steps above, you will now have lovely dip powder nails that you can show off to your family and friends.
